The Lord’s prayer When you try to create an index of what Jesus was ultimately saying when He taught us to pray, you would get something along the lines of this: 1. Worshiping the Father 2. God’s kingdom 3. God’s will/guidance 4. Our daily needs 5. Forgiveness/relationships 6. Spiritual warfare Over the few lines that this took to say, Jesus had covered almost everything that a human could pray from a high level. What better prayer to pray, other than the one that came from the Lord? Devotional reference: Luke 11:2-4 Matthew 6:9-13 Meditate/read over John 17. Paraphrased: Jesus is saying that to all those that love Him and know that He was sent by God and is of God, they shall also be blessed and filled with God’s spirit just as He was.
